I’m Stephanie Greunke, registered dietitian, certified personal trainer, and holistic educator.
I know how hard it is to make sense of all of the information regarding nutrition and health. There always seems to be conflicting studies and it can be tough figuring out who to trust!
I’ve made it my mission to sort through all of the non-sense and present you information without fear-mongering, judgment, or sales pitches. Just the facts – you decide what works for YOU!

Who I Am
I’m sure you’re wondering who I am and what I do, so let’s start there. I am a registered dietitian with a integrative approach to wellness. I emphasize the integrative piece because I talk about a LOT more than nutrition. Nutrition is about much more than learning what to eat or how many calories/fat/carbs/and protein you should consume.
Restorative sleep, efficient exercise, whole foods nutrition, stress management, the psychology of food, and the importance of social connectedness are all key components of our health. If any of these components are missing, our health takes a hit.
I’ll help you navigate through all of the confusion and show you a way to ENJOY food again. Food should nourish you AND you should have fun with it! You deserve to have a positive relationship with food and enjoy what you eat.
In addition to being a registered dietitian, I have a master’s degree in nutrition and health promotion, a certification in holistic wellness, and a personal training certification. I’ve worked alongside many well-known functional medicine practitioners and naturopathic doctors, such as Dr. Mark Hyman and Dr. Lauren Noel, to broaden my knowledge and understanding of integrative wellness.
Throughout the years, I’ve worked with many different types of clients including athletes, menopausal women, kids, and military professionals, but I found that my favorite type of clients are women looking to get pregnant, are pregnant, or are in the postpartum period. There’s something magical about this time period and I love being able to ensure optimal health for both mom and baby. There is no greater gift than to help moms navigate the miracle of childbirth!
Working in the NICU and labor and delivery floors in the hospital was my first exposure to the world of pre/postnatal health. I saw how incredibly strong moms were during intense situations, how healing nutrition therapy was for newborns in the NICU, and the beautiful art of breastfeeding.My interest in pregnancy/postpartum health turned from an interest into a passion when I became pregnant. I joined birth networks, attended lectures and conferences, put hundreds of hours into research, and befriended midwives, childbirth educators, doulas, pretty much anyone that had a similar passion.
Even with my background, I understand how difficult it can be to break down the research. There’s conflicting advice in books and from professionals, and on top of that, your hormones are all over the place making every decision emotional.
I also understand how little information and support women get during this time period. The most confident women I know start doubting themselves when they are pregnant. I want to provide you with information about your rights and alternatives so you can make empowered choices.
In addition to my blog, I have a free podcast that’s available on iTunes, Stitcher, and on my other website, realfoodmamaspodcast.com. I host the podcast with another registered dietitian, Aglaée Jacob. The Real Food Mamas Podcast is about two crunchy moms chatting about health, nutrition and just what real life is as a mom.
We share stories, discuss our views, and interview experts about topics ranging from baby led weaning, elimination communication, sleep, home birth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding struggles, babywearing, parenting styles, diastasis recti, pelvic floor health, our favorite products, and of course, our passion for real food.
I see patients locally and around the world through phone and Skype consults. It’s my goal to work with you to break down barriers and make sure your environment, attitude, and behaviors help you rock your mission.
